SHARON REYNOLDS
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LMFT #52304
Sharon has been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 14 years, with specialization in meeting the needs of children and adolescents through art, play therapy, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. Sharon understands that young children often struggle to communicate their thoughts and feelings through words, and therefore is passionate about creating a safe space for them to share these experiences through alternative mediums. With the insight provided during these sessions, Sharon is able to help parents more fully understand their children, and implement positive changes at home that will support their needs. In addition to her extensive training in Trauma-Focused CBT with children and Gestalt Play Therapy, Sharon is experienced in addressing a wide range of issues across the lifespan, including: anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, marital and/or family conflict, and parenting struggles. Through the years of working with parents to promote effective problem solving, collaboration and communication, Sharon has also discovered the rewards of helping couples strengthen their relationships. She supports couples to gain deeper insights into their relationship, establish healthy communication patterns, and deepen their connection. It is her experience that when a couple takes the time to do this important work together, it can create a profound positive impact on the entire nuclear family. Sharon approaches each client and family with warmth, acceptance, curiosity, and honesty.
Sharon received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Syracuse University in upstate New York, and her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University here in Southern California.
